Remove writing that shows through the front of a photo
Someone wrote names on the back of the photo with a ballpoint pen, and now those letters show on the front like a faint grid across the faces. Scan the front only, send it, and the bot removes the ghost lines while keeping the picture.

Make it in TelegramSave the names first
The writing on the back is often more valuable than the front. A line like 'Aunt Vera and Sasha, 1957' is the key to the whole album. Photograph or scan it first and type the text into your notes. Then work on the front. Once the cleaned image is ready, put the same line into the file name or the description. Pictures with names survive much longer in family archives than pictures without.
Black behind the print
A white scanner lid reflects light through thin paper and brings out the writing from behind. A sheet of black card on top of the print blocks that light. Try a scan with each lid and compare. If your print is thick, the show-through is usually weaker. For a very thin paper, a black backing is the cheapest fix and leaves less for the bot to guess.
Tips
- Copy the names from the back before anything else.
- Scan the back as a separate file.
- Place a black sheet behind the print to reduce show-through.
- Use a soft pencil next time and write on the border only.
Questions and answers
Can the bot read the back?
It does not transcribe. Read and type the notes yourself.
What about a stamp on the back?
Keep it as a separate scan. Stamps help date a print.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image. New users get 15 free credits, so 7 images cost nothing. After that packs start at 129 Telegram Stars, about $2.6 and credits do not expire.
Does the bot work in English?
Yes. It picks up your Telegram language on first launch. You can switch it any time with /lang.
What the bot does not do

- Does not make video or animate the photo.
