Fix a photo stuck to glass
A print that has fused to glass often tears or leaves part of the image behind. Scan what you can recover and the bot cleans the surface marks and rebuilds missing patches.

BeforeAfter
In short: Prints that stuck to a frame glass often leave patches, rough texture and missing areas. Scan what survives and let the AI clean the image.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- A framed photo from a relative's house stuck to the glass for decades.
- When you opened the frame, part of the image stayed on the glass.
- The surface looks pitted with a waffle texture.
How to do it
- 1
Tap the button on this page. Telegram opens the bot, press Start and the right mode is already selected.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: print was stuck to glass, rough surface and missing patches, keep the faces.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramScanning through the glass
If the print will not come off, a front view through the glass can still capture the picture. Place the frame on a dark surface, use soft daylight and tilt it slightly to avoid reflections. The image may look flat and dull. The bot can restore contrast and clean patches, though any texture from the stuck surface can survive in small areas.
Pieces that remain on the glass
When part of the emulsion stays on the glass, photograph it against a white sheet and keep it with the print. The bot works from one image, so a combined picture needs some editing by hand if you want both parts in one frame. If that is not possible, the AI can still fill the missing area, but it will be a guess.
Tips
- Do not pull at a stuck print. A conservator can separate it safely if it is valuable.
- If the print is still on the glass, you can photograph it from the front side through the glass.
- Shoot at an angle to avoid your own reflection, then straighten the image.
- Scan the glass too if some of the image stayed behind.
Questions and answers
Can I send a photo taken through the glass?
Yes, avoid reflections and send the file as a document.
Will the rough texture disappear?
Light texture does. Deep pitting may stay in places.
What if part of the print is on the glass?
Photograph it separately, then rebuild the missing area with the bot's help.
Is it safe to scan fragile prints?
Use gentle handling or consult a conservator for valuable ones.
