Restore a sun-faded photograph
Sunlight bleaches a print unevenly, often leaving one side paler. The bot restores tone and detail and balances the lighter and darker areas, keeping the people and scene.

BeforeAfter
In short: Prints left in sunlight or a window lose their darks and detail. Send a scan and get stronger tone while the picture stays natural.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- A framed photo hung near a window and one side went blank.
- The sky and one shoulder of a person have almost vanished.
- Edges look stronger than the center, where the frame covered the print.
How to do it
- 1
Use the button on this page to open the bot in Telegram, then press Start. Your 15 free credits appear on first launch.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: sun-faded on the left side, restore detail evenly, keep black and white.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramUneven fading
Sun damage rarely affects the photo evenly. A strip under the frame can stay dark while the exposed area turns pale. The bot balances these zones. In pale areas it restores shapes the original once had, based on what is still visible, and where the image is gone it creates plausible content. The more of the picture survives, the more accurate the result.
Checking the result
Compare the repaired zone to the zone that stayed dark. They should match in tone and texture. If the previously faded side looks too clean next to the original side, rerun and add keep film grain to the caption. Faces on the faded side deserve the closest look, since the AI may have rebuilt part of them from very little information.
Tips
- Scan the frame border too, it shows how much the print has faded.
- Remove the print from the frame carefully, glass can stick to the surface.
- Where the image has disappeared completely, the AI invents. Check those zones.
- Keep the original away from direct light after scanning.
Questions and answers
Can the bot bring back a face that fully faded?
Only by inventing it. Treat that result as an illustration.
Does it work for color prints?
The mode works best with black-and-white. Color results may vary.
Should I remove the print from the frame?
If you can do it safely, yes, for a cleaner scan.
How long does it take?
1-2 minutes.
