Restore a photo with missing pieces
When part of a print is gone, the bot rebuilds it from the surrounding scene. Faces, clothes and background stay where they are, and the gap gets believable content.

BeforeAfter
In short: Holes, flaked patches and lost fragments can be rebuilt from the surrounding picture. Send a full scan and describe what the missing area showed.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- Pieces broke off an old print and are lost.
- Insects or rodents ate a patch of the paper.
- A hole was punched through the print for a binder.
How to do it
- 1
Open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram with the button on this page and press Start. No sign-up is needed.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption describe the missing area, for example: hole in the lower left, floor and part of a dress missing, continue the floor.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramHow the bot fills a gap
The AI looks at the area around the hole and continues lines, textures and tone across it. A wall continues as a wall, a floor as a floor. When the gap cuts across a person, the bot has to imagine the hidden part, so it can look natural yet not match reality. A clear caption narrows the guesses. A better scan helps more than any setting, so rescan the print at 600 dpi or higher if you still have it.
When to be careful
For family records or memorial prints, a rebuilt face or hand may look convincing and still be wrong. Mark the final image as restored in your family archive and keep the damaged scan next to it. If the gap is small and in the background, the result is usually safe. If it hides part of a person, share the picture with a relative who knew them before you print.
Tips
- Scan on a dark surface so the hole is clearly separate from the background.
- Describe what should be in the gap whenever you know it.
- The larger the hole, the less the result resembles the original.
- If a person is partly missing, treat the new part as an illustration.
Questions and answers
Can the bot invent the whole missing person?
It can add something, but that is invention. Avoid it for factual records.
How large a gap can it handle?
Small and medium gaps work best. Large ones become guesses.
Should I scan the hole on white?
A dark backing makes the hole easier to see in the picture.
Does the rest of the photo change?
It aims to leave the undamaged parts alone.
