Remove dust and specks from a scan
Scans of old prints pick up dust, hairs and small flecks. Send the scan and the bot cleans the specks while leaving faces and fine details in place.

BeforeAfter
In short: White flecks, hairs and tiny dark dots left by a dirty scanner glass or an old print can be cleaned in one run from your scan.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- Every scan has white dots, even after cleaning the glass.
- A hair on the scanner bed shows as a curved line.
- You have dozens of scans and cleaning each by hand takes hours.
How to do it
- 1
Open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram with the button on this page and press Start. No sign-up is needed.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: scanned print with dust and white specks, keep film grain and detail.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramDust versus real details
A speck can look like a glint in an eye or a button. The AI tries to tell them apart, but small bright details are sometimes removed. At 100 percent view, look at eyes, jewelry and buttons after the run. If something real disappeared, run the picture again with a caption that mentions it. Most dust is random and scattered, which makes it easy to recognize and clear away.
Cleaner scanning habits
Dust is easier to prevent than to fix. Use a blower brush on the print and wipe the glass. Place the print face down and scan in a darkened room if your scanner lid is not tight. Even so, some dust will remain, and that is where the bot saves time. Send each scan as a file so Telegram does not add compression noise that looks like new specks.
Tips
- Wipe the scanner glass with a dry microfiber cloth before each session.
- Keep fine grain by writing keep grain in the caption.
- Scan at 600 dpi, so tiny details are not mistaken for dust.
- Zoom to 100 percent to check eyes and jewelry, small bright details can be mistaken for dust.
