Fix a yellowed old photo
Yellowing comes from age, light and the paper. The bot removes the yellow cast and restores tone and detail. Black-and-white photos stay black-and-white.

BeforeAfter
In short: Prints turned yellow or brown with age lose tone and detail. Send a scan of the photo and get a cleaner image in 1-2 minutes.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- An old paper print has gone yellow-brown.
- The yellow cast makes it hard to see faces.
- A warm filter changed the overall tone, but gray areas still look dirty.
How to do it
- 1
Use the button on this page to open the bot in Telegram, then press Start. Your 15 free credits appear on first launch.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: yellowed print, remove the yellow cast, keep neutral tones.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramYellow can be damage or style
Some photographs were sepia on purpose, and a warm tone belongs to the style. Real yellowing is uneven: darker at the edges, with blotches. If the print is yellow all over and evenly, tell the bot whether you want it neutral or warm. Without a hint, the AI makes a reasonable guess for old prints, usually a clean neutral gray. Yellow in highlights and borders of the print is usually paper aging, and it is the easiest part to clean.
Getting a clean scan
The scanner or the phone will often try to correct the tint by itself. Turn off automatic color correction if you can. Use the same light for the whole print, and avoid a lamp with a yellow bulb. A white sheet in the shot makes it easy for you to judge the result afterward. Handle the original print by the edges and store it in an acid-free sleeve away from sunlight and damp.
Tips
- Photograph yellowed prints in daylight and keep white balance fixed, not automatic.
- If you want to keep a sepia look, say so in the caption.
- Check clothes and the sky, those areas show tint changes first.
- Do not stack filters before sending, one clean scan is better.
Questions and answers
Can the bot keep a sepia tone?
Mention it in the caption, for example keep a warm sepia look.
Is yellowing reversible on the paper?
Not by this bot. It works on the digital image.
Will faces look different?
It aims to keep faces as they are.
Does the result lose grain?
Some grain may soften. Rerun with a note to keep texture if needed.
