Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: wedding portrait for an anniversary gift, repair damage, keep faces and clothes unchanged.
- 3
In 1-2 minutes the repaired photo arrives in the chat. Download it, compare it with the original and run again if a spot was missed.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.

Scanning takes minutes and restoration takes 1-2 minutes per run. Printing, framing and shipping take longer, so start early. Run the restoration, review the faces, rerun if needed and then send the file to the print shop. If you are unsure about size, ask them for the minimum pixel dimensions. A better scan helps more than any setting, so rescan the print at 600 dpi or higher if you still have it.
Choosing what to print
Restored black-and-white is faithful to the original. A colorized version feels fresh but the colors are suggestions. Many people print both and give the couple the pair. Keep the original untouched, and put a note on the back of the frame with the year and the names. Save every version in the same folder and add the year and the names to the file name so nothing gets mixed up later.
Tips
- Ask relatives quietly for the original, or scan it when the couple is away.
- Allow time for printing and framing, and test the file size with the print shop.
- Check the faces with someone who knows the couple well.
- A black-and-white copy and a colorized one can go in the same frame as a pair.
