Restore an old Polaroid
Polaroids age in their own way: washed-out contrast, a color cast and scuffs on the surface. Send a scan or a flat photograph and the bot cleans the image while keeping the people and the white frame.

BeforeAfter
In short: Instant prints fade, shift color and pick up scuffs. Scan the Polaroid or photograph it flat and clean the image in 1-2 minutes.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- A family Polaroid has a green or magenta cast.
- The picture is pale and the faces are muddy.
- The white border is dirty and the surface has scuffs.
How to do it
- 1
Open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram with the button on this page and press Start. No sign-up is needed.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write: old Polaroid, repair marks and fading, keep the white frame and natural colors.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. Zoom in on the damaged areas, and if one is still visible, send it again with a more exact caption.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramPolaroids are small and soft
Instant prints are small and have lower sharpness than studio portraits. The bot cleans damage but cannot create detail that the print never had. If the result looks soft, the sharpen mode may help. Scan at high resolution so edges are crisp. A run takes 1-2 minutes and uses 2 credits, so trying a second version with a clearer caption is an easy step.
Color shift is common
Instant film often shifts toward green, yellow or red over time. The repair mode cleans damage and aims for natural tones, but the original colors are not known for sure. Add a hint if you remember what a dress or a wall looked like. Keep the original scan so you can compare the cast. The bot replies in English. You can switch the language any time with /lang.
Tips
- Shoot or scan the whole Polaroid including the frame, it adds context.
- Photograph under daylight, glossy surfaces reflect lamps.
- If the color cast is strong, tell the bot the sky or skin color you remember.
- Do not peel any protective sleeve from old instant prints.
