Sharpen a blurry black-and-white photo
A black-and-white print should still look like film after sharpening. The bot clears the edges and tries to leave the grain and tones in place.

BeforeAfter
In short: Black-and-white prints often look soft after decades. Sharpen faces and edges while keeping the grain and tones that give the picture its character.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- The picture is soft and flat.
- Faces lack contrast.
- Over-sharpening makes it look digital.
How to do it
- 1
Open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram with the button on this page and press Start. No sign-up is needed.
- 2
Send the picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it further. In the caption write: sharpen this black and white photo, clear faces, keep film grain and tones.
- 3
In 1-2 minutes the sharpened picture arrives in the chat. Download it and compare faces with the original at full size.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramGrain is part of the look
Film grain gives old prints their texture. A heavy sharpening pass can smooth it away or turn it into harsh noise. Ask the bot to keep the grain, and check the result at normal size. If the picture looks too clean, rerun with a softer request. The first launch gives 15 free credits, which is enough for 7 images, so you can test the result on your own picture before buying anything.
Contrast and tone
Soft prints often have flat contrast as well. The sharpen mode improves edges and can lift local contrast, but it does not replace the repair mode for badly faded prints. If both problems are present, repair first and sharpen second. If the first result is close but not right, change the caption a little and send the picture again. The bot replies in English. You can switch the language any time with /lang.
Tips
- Mention film grain in the caption if you want it kept.
- Scan in color mode even for black and white prints.
- Compare edges at 100 percent zoom.
- Use the color mode afterwards if you want color.
