Sharpen a faded and blurry photo
Fading lowers contrast, and blur hides edges. Fixing both works best in order: tones first, then sharpness.

BeforeAfter
In short: When a photo is both faded and blurry, the order of steps matters. Repair the tones first, sharpen next and check faces at the end.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- The photo looks pale and hazy.
- Details vanish in light areas.
- One mode fixes only half of the problem.
How to do it
- 1
Open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram with the button on this page and press Start. No sign-up is needed.
- 2
Send the picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it further. In the caption write: sharpen this faded photo, restore contrast, keep faces unchanged.
- 3
Wait 1-2 minutes for the result. View it at 100 percent, and rerun if the first pass is not clear enough.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramTones first
Faded pictures lose contrast, and sharpening a low contrast image can amplify noise. A first pass in repair mode brings back tones. After that the sharpen mode has clearer material to work with. Each pass costs 2 credits, so two passes cost 4. The bot replies in English. You can switch the language any time with /lang.
Check after each pass
Look at the result before sending it on. If the first pass already looks clear enough, you can stop. Many photos improve a lot with the first pass alone, and every extra pass adds small artifacts. Keep each version so you can go back to the best one. Save every version in the same folder and add the year and the names to the file name so nothing gets mixed up later.
Tips
- Start with the repair mode if the photo is badly faded.
- Then use the sharpen mode on the result.
- Compare each stage with the original.
- Do not repeat the sharpen mode many times.
