Fix creases in an old photo
A creased print shows light lines where the paper bent and the emulsion cracked. Send a scan and the bot smooths them while keeping the people and the setting.

BeforeAfter
In short: Bent corners and crease lines that cut across a portrait can be smoothed out from a scan or a phone picture of the print.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
When you need this
- A photo was carried in a wallet for years and has a white line through the middle.
- A large print came rolled up in a tube and has several waves and bends.
- The crease runs right through a smiling face.
How to do it
- 1
Tap the button on this page. Telegram opens the bot, press Start and the right mode is already selected.
- 2
Send the scan or phone picture as a file (document) so Telegram does not compress it. In the caption write where the crease is, for example: horizontal crease across the chest and arms.
- 3
In 1-2 minutes the repaired photo arrives in the chat. Download it, compare it with the original and run again if a spot was missed.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramWhat a crease does to the print
A crease breaks the surface of the print. It leaves a pale line, and sometimes the paper bends so light hits it differently. The AI treats it as a thin gap and fills it with content that matches the surroundings. On clothes and backgrounds this works well. On faces the bot rebuilds a narrow strip of skin, which usually looks fine but should be compared with the original.
Photographing a creased print
If you do not have a scanner, lay the photo on a dark table by a window and shoot from straight above. Daylight without direct sun keeps the crease shadow soft. Avoid flash, since it makes every bend shine. Send the file as a document so Telegram keeps full resolution, because compression can blur the thin boundary the AI needs to find.
Tips
- Flatten the print under a heavy book for a day before scanning, never iron it.
- Scan the crease from straight above, not at an angle, or the line gets wider.
- A crease through a face is the hardest case. Look at the eyes and mouth after the run.
- If the paper has a slight wave, put clean glass on top while you scan or photograph it.
Questions and answers
Can the bot fix more than one crease?
Yes. Several creases are handled in one run. Mention the main ones in the caption if you like.
What about creases where the paper is missing?
Missing pieces are rebuilt by the AI, so they will look believable but may not match the real detail.
Does it change the faces?
It aims to keep them as they were. If a face looks different, rerun or use a cleaner scan.
How long does it take?
Usually 1-2 minutes per image.
