A Steam avatar made from your photo
Steam avatars are small, square and shown next to your name in every lobby. Detail disappears, silhouette and color survive. The bot redraws your photo as a bold illustration with a strong shape and a simple background.
- 2 credits per image
- Result in 1–2 minutes
- No sign-up
In short: Turn a photo or a character idea into a Steam avatar with bold shapes that survive a tiny crop. Telegram bot, 7 images free for new users, no sign-up.
- Where: the VisuMate bot in Telegram, no app or sign-up.
- Cost: 2 credits per image, 7 images free, then packs from 49 Telegram Stars.
- Time: 1 to 2 minutes per image, rerun with a new instruction at the same price.
- Credits never expire, there is no subscription and no auto-renew. You pay once for a pack inside Telegram with Stars.
When you need this
- Detailed art turns into mush when Steam shrinks it.
- Friends all use the same game-logo avatars and you want to be recognized.
- Commissioned avatars cost more than the game you are playing.
How to do it
- 1
Press the button to open @visumate_ai_bot in Telegram. No sign-up, and new users get 15 free credits, which is 7 images.
- 2
Send a photo as a file. In the caption write the idea: 'bold flat illustration, orange and teal, simple dark background, hooded jacket'.
- 3
In 1-2 minutes the square avatar arrives for 2 credits. Shrink it on your screen to see if it still reads.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramDesigning for small sizes
A Steam avatar is closer to an emoji than a portrait. Eyes, hair silhouette and one accent color do the work. When you write the caption, name those three things and drop everything else. If a first run looks busy, ask for 'fewer details, thicker outlines' and rerun. Two tries usually land on something that still reads small. Test it at the size of a small coin on your screen.
Matching your profile
Steam lets you pair an avatar with a frame and a background. Pick the avatar color first, then choose the extras to complement it. If you stream too, reuse the same artwork on Twitch so friends find you in both places. A square crop of the result is all you need, and the bot gives you a full-size file to crop from.
Tips
- High contrast between figure and background survives downscaling.
- Two or three main colors beat a rainbow.
- Leave out text, it will be unreadable at avatar size.
- Ask for 'square, face filling most of the frame'.
Questions and answers
What size is the file?
A normal square image, large enough. Steam will downscale it for you on upload.
Can I make a game character instead?
Yes, describe the character in the caption instead of sending a photo.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image. New users get 15 free credits, so 7 images cost nothing. After that packs start at 49 Telegram Stars and credits do not expire.
Does the bot work in English?
Yes. It picks up your Telegram language on first launch. You can switch it any time with /lang.
What the bot does not do
- Works from one photo. Likeness depends on the photo you send, and some styles change features more than others.
- Does not make video or animation.
- Does not output a transparent PNG.
- Does not retouch passport or ID photos.
