Tall frames

Pinterest's guidance has long favored a 2:3 ratio, with 1000 by 1500 pixels as the usual example, and very long pins may get cut off in the feed. Check the current Pinterest help page before you export. The bot returns 3:4, which is a little wider than 2:3. To reach 2:3, crop the sides slightly or extend the top and bottom in an editor. Keep the product away from those edges.

Product pins and scenes

A product on a plain white background works for catalog pins. Scenes tend to look better as inspiration. Use the scene preset and write the setting in the caption, for example "on a breakfast tray, morning window light". Add text overlays in your design editor, since AI text can misspell. Room for a title

Many pins carry a short title on the image. Plan the layout before you make the picture: ask for a scene with an empty area, for example "leave empty space above the product".
