Prepare an old town photo for a history society archive
History societies and town libraries often ask residents for old pictures of streets, shops and festivals. A clean copy is easier to display and to study than a creased one. Send a photo of your print, and the bot prepares a version that is honest and clear.

Make it in TelegramHonest restoration for the record
An archive needs to know what was changed. Keep a plain scan of the untouched print and label the processed one as restored with software. Ask the bot not to add objects, and compare windows, signs and cars with the original. If any detail looks new, rerun the repair. Researchers may use the picture for decades, so accuracy counts more than polish.
Adding context
A photo is worth more with a few lines of information. Note the street, the year if you can estimate it, who is in the picture and where the original is kept. Neighbors and older residents are often happy to identify a building or a face. Send your notes with the files. Many societies also collect memories, and your restored picture may bring in more of them from people who see it.
Tips
- Offer the archive both the original scan and the restored version.
- Write the place, date and photographer if you know them.
- Ask the archive about their current submission rules.
- Do not clean the print itself for the sake of the record.
Questions and answers
Will the archive accept a restored copy?
Ask them. Many take both the original scan and a restored copy.
Does the bot change the date or the details?
It should not. Compare the two files closely.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image. New users get 15 free credits, so 7 images cost nothing. After that packs start at 129 Telegram Stars, about $2.6 and credits do not expire.
Does the bot work in English?
Yes. It picks up your Telegram language on first launch. You can switch it any time with /lang.
What the bot does not do
- Does not print photos and does not retouch passport or ID photos.
- Does not promise a fixed pixel size. Check the result at full size before printing.
- Heavily damaged faces are reconstructed by AI and may not look like the person. Compare with another photo.
- Does not make video or animate the photo.
