Restore a 1930s snapshot from a hard decade
Snapshots from the 1930s were taken on small box cameras, printed with deckled edges and tucked into albums with paper corners. Many are only a few inches wide. Send a straight photo of the print and the bot brings back contrast, clears the marks and makes the faces readable.

Make it in TelegramSmall prints and soft focus
A box camera of that era had a fixed lens and a slow shutter, so a lot of 1930s pictures are a little soft from the start. The restoration can recover edges and cut the haze, yet it cannot invent a sharp face where the film never recorded one. Aim for believable rather than crisp. Tell the bot to keep the grain visible and check how eyes and hat brims look at full size.
Paper corners and album residue
Many of these snapshots lost a corner or carry glue from the old album page. Send the picture with the damage visible so the bot can see what to repair. Do not peel anything off a brittle print yourself. When the restored image is ready, print it a bit larger than the original so the people on the porch become easier to recognize for the next generation.
Tips
- Include the white border in the frame so the print looks authentic.
- Photograph each snapshot alone, not the whole album page at once.
- Note the address or farm name from the back of the print.
- Ask for light cleaning only if the grain is part of the charm.
Questions and answers
Will the restoration remove the white border?
Only if you ask. By default the caption can tell the bot to keep it.
Can I restore several snapshots from one album?
Yes. Send them one by one, since each image costs 2 credits.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image. New users get 15 free credits, so 7 images cost nothing. After that packs start at 129 Telegram Stars, about $2.6 and credits do not expire.
Does the bot work in English?
Yes. It picks up your Telegram language on first launch. You can switch it any time with /lang.
What the bot does not do
- Does not print photos and does not retouch passport or ID photos.
- Does not promise a fixed pixel size. Check the result at full size before printing.
- Heavily damaged faces are reconstructed by AI and may not look like the person. Compare with another photo.
- Does not make video or animate the photo.
