Clear writing that shows through from the back of a print
Thin prints and postcards sometimes show a mirrored stamp or a handwritten note from the back, like a ghost over the face. Send a photo of the front, and the bot lowers the ghost writing and keeps the real picture.

Make it in TelegramWhy the back appears on the front
Postcard stock and light photographic paper let ink wick through the fibers. The color usually appears paler and flipped left to right. Because it is faint, the bot can remove most of it without touching the picture. Grooves from a hard pen are harder, and they may leave a trace. Give it side light photos if the print has a lot of them.
Write on the back, safely
If you add a note to a print yourself, use a soft graphite pencil on the margin and write lightly. Pressing hard or using a ballpoint repeats this very problem. Photograph the old inscription before you restore the front, and file both images together. That way the date, the studio name and the writing are saved as part of the story and the cleaned face becomes a copy you can display or share.
Tips
- Photograph the back as well and keep that note in the archive.
- Mention what the ghost looks like, for example blue ink or purple stamp.
- Shoot with light from the side if the pen left grooves.
- Avoid contact with water or erasers on the print.
Questions and answers
Can it read the writing on the back?
No. It cleans the front. Keep a separate photo of the back.
Does this help with watermarks from paper?
Faint paper marks often improve too. Mention them in the caption.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image. New users get 15 free credits, so 7 images cost nothing. After that packs start at 129 Telegram Stars, about $2.6 and credits do not expire.
