Open @visumate_ai_bot with the button on this page and press Start. The link opens the product photo menu.
- 2
Send the photo of the item as a file (document). In the caption write what you need, for example: "simple light background, item centered with space around it".
- 3
You get a vertical 3:4 image in 1–2 minutes. Download it and make a square copy for the thumbnail check.
Try it on your own photo: 7 images are free, no sign-up.
Make it in TelegramWhy thumbnails cut things off
Etsy shows the first listing photo in several shapes: search tiles, shop pages, the gallery and mobile feeds. Sellers often describe the tile as a square-like crop, though Etsy can change this, so check what you see in your own listing preview. A product that touches the edge of a vertical picture will lose a corner in a square. Leave empty space on every side and the crop will not matter.
Crop the bot's picture yourself
The bot returns a 3:4 vertical image. Open it in an editor, choose a square crop and slide the frame over the product. If you lose a part of the item, go back to the original, or send the photo again with a wish in the caption, for example "leave more space around the item". The bot reads the caption as a wish, so the result may need another run. Keep your files large, since Etsy recommends big originals.
The small-size test
Make the thumbnail copy and shrink it to the size of a postage stamp on your screen. Can you still tell what the product is? If not, move the camera closer in the original or choose a plainer background. Small, delicate items such as thin chains often need a close shot and a dark or neutral background to read in the tile.
Tips
- Make a square copy and look at it at small size on your phone.
- Keep the whole item inside the middle two thirds of the frame.
- Choose a background that contrasts with the product.
- Avoid thin props at the edge, since they get cut.
- Check your listing preview after each change.
Questions and answers
What does the Etsy thumbnail look like?
It is a cropped version of your first photo, roughly square in many places. Check your listing preview.
Which size should I upload?
Etsy recommends large images. See the Help Center for the current number.
Can the bot leave more space around the item?
You can ask in the caption. It is a wish, so you may need to rerun.
Does the bot crop to a square?
No. It returns 3:4. You crop in an editor.
What is the cost of one try?
Each run is 2 credits, and new users start with 15 free credits.
What the bot does not do
- Does not output a transparent PNG. The result is a finished 3:4 image with a background.
- Does not write listing copy, set prices or upload anything to your seller account.
- Does not guarantee exact marketplace pixel sizes: crop or resize the 3:4 image in any editor.
- Text on infographics is drawn by AI and can have letter errors in long phrases. Keep badges short and proofread.
